Shift Subtitle Timing

Subtitles showing too early or too late? Shift every timestamp in your .srt or .vtt file by a fixed offset.

positive = later, negative = earlier

How it works

  1. Enter the offset in seconds (e.g. -2.5 if subtitles appear 2.5s too late).
  2. Drop your subtitle file — format is detected from the extension.
  3. The shifted file downloads with the same format.

FAQ

Which direction should I shift?

If the text appears before the audio, shift forward (positive). If the text appears after the audio, shift backward (negative).

What if a cue would go below 00:00:00?

Cues that would end before zero are removed; a cue crossing zero is clamped to start at 00:00:00.

Is my file uploaded?

No — the shift is computed locally in your browser.
