How it works

Drop the main-language file on the left, the translation on the right.
In bilingual mode, each cue of File 1 gets the text of the File 2 cue that overlaps it most in time.
Click merge — the combined file downloads in File 1's format.

FAQ

Do the two files need identical timing?

No, just roughly synced to the same video. Cues are paired by time overlap, so small offsets are fine. If one file is badly out of sync, fix it first with the shift tool or two-point resync.

Which mode should I use?

Bilingual for dual-language subtitles — one cue shows both languages. Combine to simply pool all cues from both files (e.g. dialogue track + signs track) into one file.

Can I join part 1 + part 2 of a movie?

Yes — first shift part 2 forward by the length of the first half, then merge here in combine mode.

Is anything uploaded?

No — both files are read and merged locally in your browser.
